Overview

Refill Express tackled the operational complexity of zero-waste retail by creating a marketplace that coordinated the entire lifecycle of reusable containers. We built dispatch systems, logistics workflows, and payment infrastructure to make sustainable shopping as convenient as traditional e-commerce.

The platform connected environmentally-conscious consumers with London's network of refill shops, orchestrating the pick-up of empty containers, their refilling at partner stores, and delivery back to customers. Over a 6-month trial period, we successfully fulfilled 500+ orders while maintaining the operational rigor needed for a viable circular economy model.
