Salmen Hichri - Applied AI Engineer and Technical Founder

Hello,

My name is Salmen /sælˈmɛn/, and I'm a British-Tunisian product engineer and entrepreneur, focusing on AI-native products.

I studied computer science and business at Paris Dauphine University, then I moved to London to build cutting-edge software at Amazon, and lead engineering projects at Goldman Sachs and other tier-1 firms.

In recent years, my work has centred around applied AI. I created an open-source library for conversational AI, and now I help innovative companies build and ship intelligent products.

Beyond conventional roles, I attempted launching 2 startups, which taught me hard lessons in product-market fit, execution, and navigating uncertainty; that no job could teach.

I'm also an angel investor in a few startups, and I trade on stock market when time permits.
Outside work, I snowboard in winter, sail in summer, and speak four languages.
